A Day of Appreciation for DG!
Delta Gamma was founded in 1873 by Mary Comfort Leonard, Anna Boyd Ellington, and Eva Webb Dodd. In celebration of these incredible women, our chapter headed to the NorthRiver Yacht Club to celebrate Founder’s Day on March 5th. The day began with a light meal, meeting with alumni, speeches, and finally an award ceremony. With awards ranging from dedication to our philanthropy to loyalty to her sisters, several women were recognized for their dedication to the success of our chapter. During the ceremony, we heard about plans for the future of Beta Psi. We are excited about the future of our chapter in the years to come.
The Luck of the Irish!
This year our chapter decided to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early. On March 7th, our sisters decked themselves out in green and gold and headed to Druid City Music Hall for our Luck of the Irish date party! Our sisters and their dates had an incredible time dancing the night away! We all cannot wait for our next date party, Song of the South.
A Week for the GREEKS!
DELTA GAMMA WON GREEK WEEK 2017! With competitions in bowling, dodgeball, basketball and dance throughout the week, Delta Gamma dominated in the University of Alabama’s 2017 Greek Week with our partners: Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Alpha Mu, and Alpha Omega Epsilon! On the final day of the week, Delta Gamma took first place in the Greek Sing dance and step competition. Delta Gamma has won this competition for the last two years in a row. Next year we plan on winning for a “three-peat!” Delta Gamma also got third in dodgeball and was the most spirited team at every event! (Watch the video of our dance under the “Photos” section of our website!)
