Doing Good in the New Year
Our members’ plan to take care of themselves and others this year.
Freshman, Sophia Olson, intends to get involved on campus and with her sisters while maintaining a high GPA. Freshman, Alyse Montgomery, aims to hold herself and sisters responsible for being productive and positive in the new year.
Sophomore, Skylar Doss, plans to encourage her sisters to keep their New Years’ resolutions and hold each other accountable in working toward their goals.
Junior and Senior sisters, Kate and Kristina Taylor, aspire to do more things that make themselves happy and to encourage that in others. Between all the monotonous tasks we have to complete, they feel like it is important to incorporate little things that are motivating and inspiring.
Ice Skating Our Way Into the Spring Semester
What better way to start off the Spring semester than ice skating into it with our sweet sisters?! We took a trip to the rink to catch up with each other after one long month apart. Lots of falls and laughter made for a great bonding experience. We missed our sisters so much and we’re so glad to be back together!

Delaney Eber
Year: Sophomore
Major: Accounting
Involvement in Delta Gamma: 2017-2018 Co-Director of Service & currently Director of T-Shirts
Campus Involvement: I am involved with the Culverhouse College of Business LIFT Program where we volunteer at different places in the community such as high schools, retirement communities, & working with veterans to teach them various business tools like Office and Powerpoint, how to use the internet, and basic financial planning. I think it’s really awesome to be able to give back to the community that I call home for so much of the year and getting to connect with people in different stages of life than I am. I have also participated in UA Dance Marathon and work at a local coffee shop!
Recent Accomplishments: I recently accepted a summer accounting internship at a public accounting firm in my hometown!
Favorite DG Memory: For fall break this year (which happened to be my birthday weekend), my big, Claire and two of my best friends, Caroline and Amber, and I all road tripped to Claire’s house in Texas. It was the most fun 8-hour car ride I’ve ever had! We went to Six Flags, Magnolia Silos and Market, and spent my birthday at Billy Bob’s to two-step and watch bull riding!
Fun Fact: The only time I ever went skiing, I fell off the ski lift. It sparked my fear of heights that has taken me years to finally break!

Year: Sophomore
Major: Biology
Minor: Pre-Med
Involvement in Delta Gamma: Director of Service
Campus Involvement: Involved with DCH regional medical hospital! Earning hours in the NICU and Oncology Unit. It means a lot to me because I am able to see firsthand how a little help from someone can go a long way and am able to see how people volunteering brightens the patients days
Favorite DG Memory: My favorite DG memory so far was the Ice Ice DG, I think that everyone really showed up going all out in their outfits and it was really cool to see such enthusiasm for sisterhood!
Fun Fact: My family is from South Africa, I am the first generation of American Students!
