I absolutely loved ‘The Great Tales Of Middle-Earth’ by J.R.R. Tolkien! The collection includes three of the most epic stories – The Children of Húrin, Beren and Lúthien, and The Fall of Gondolin. As a huge fan of the world of Middle-Earth, I was thrilled to dive into these tales and I was not disappointed.
First up is ‘The Children of Húrin’ which tells the tragic story of Túrin Turambar, the cursed son of Húrin. This story had me on the edge of my seat with its thrilling battles, forbidden love and heartbreaking ending. I couldn’t put it down!
Next is ‘Beren and Lúthien’ which follows the journey of a mortal man who falls in love with an immortal elf maiden. This tale is filled with adventure, magic and romance – everything a good fantasy story should have! I found myself rooting for Beren and Lúthien until the very end.
Last but definitely not least is ‘The Fall of Gondolin’. This story takes us back to the ancient city that was destroyed by Morgoth’s armies. With stunning descriptions and intense battle scenes, it was like experiencing the fall of Gondolin first-hand. It left me in awe and wanting more.
